2012 West Hartford Memorial Day Parade

Every year, the West Hartford Youth Football League is proud to honor our Veterans by marching in the Memorial Day Parade. This year, on Monday, May 28th, 2012 we will be marching to honor our heroes yet again. Every player is invited to march with their team. We will be meeting that morning by no later than 9:45 AM on Four Mile Road, between Farmington Avenue and Ellsworth Road. This year our team will line up after the Conard High School Marching Band. Look for the truck decorated in WHYFL helmets & jerseys.

We will assemble with the Flag Division up front and Pony Division last.

Every team is expected to be represented. Coaches, if you are not able to be present, please find a parent that can fill in for you.  Player can contact their coaches to obtain a jersey to wear for the parade. You may want to bring a water bottle if it is hot.  And please wear sneakers...NO CLEATS!

The children will march down Farmington Avenue, turn right onto Main Street and proceed towards the corner (near the entrance of Town Hall) of South Main Street and Ray Rd. Parents, you can pick up your children there. Your coaches will stay with your children until you arrive, so please be there waiting for your team and pick up your children quickly.  We don't want want to lose anyone.

There are obviously no bathrooms along the way so PLEASE make sure you take care of that BEFORE you arrive.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me at  .  I'll see you all next Monday!
