Are there any changes for the upcoming season that we should know about ?

What are the divisions?

The WHYFL NFL flag division currently has four grade-based divisions.

Flag - Bantam - 1st & 2nd graders

Flag - Mighty Mite - 3rd & 4th graders

Flag - Pee Wee - 5th & 6th graders

Flag - Pony - 7th & 8th graders

All divisions will be co-ed.

My son / daughter is on the wait list. Is there a good chance they will be added?

We do our best to accomodate as many players as possible, but are limited by field space as to how many teams we can create. Further, we will not accept additional players until we have suffiicent coaches in each division. Once the division cap is reached, players are moved off the wait list on an as needed basis.

What are the rules?

This division is 5-on-5 and will follow established NFL FLag football rules.

Our League Rules can be found on our Documents page.

When are practices?

Teams will have one 1-hour practice each week on either Mon, Wed, Fri, or Sat. Coaches set practice date and time. Coaches are asked to reach out to their teams and check availability before scheduling practice times. Practice times will not be set until after the August 22, 2018 Coaches' Meeting.

When are games?

All games will be played on Sundays at Sterling field. Games are one hour in length. Divisions will play at roughly the same time each week.

What equipment do I need to purchase?

Cleats, shorts, mouthpiece, and water bottle. Mouthpieces are mandatory.

What equipment does league provide?

All participants will receive an official NFL Flag reversible jersey and one set of flag belts.

Yes. We encourage kids to play on a team with their friends and ask that parents identify buddy requests on registration form. We will do our best to accommodate buddy requests with the ultimate goal to ensure balance among all teams.

Can I request my son/daughter be placed with a specific coach / team?
